While looking for a restaurant open on Monday, I came across this restaurant. I ate the best rump steak cooked to perfection over a wood fire! Well done to the chef perfect cooking extremely tender meat never eaten so good meat! Well done to the service despite the fact that I am not German. I highly recommend it ?

Very nice restaurant in the Saarlouiser Bastion. Great rustic interior, beautiful terrace and well-kept food and drinks which I can only recommend (meat dishes come from the original Saarland swivel which gives the meat a great aroma) Definitely worth a visit.

Nice, quaint restaurant with lovely furnishings in a historic building. The service is very experienced and food and drinks come to the table quickly. My rump steak was how it should be. Comprehensive map without being too confusing.

Very nice and comfortably furnished ambience! The staff were extremely friendly, talkative and attentive! The food was just great! We didn't have to wait long! In terms of price it is also top! The highlight was in the end we got sweets for our bill, really very sweet! We will be back definitely! Just to recommend it, I would like to give 10 stars!

Rump steak from the swivel. In my opinion the best steak in Saarlouis. Simple, home-style cooking. Just don't be put off by the ambience. The food is great.

Hello dear chimney basement team A few weeks ago I was there with a larger group. The food was very, very good. Compliments, rump steak perfectly grilled and the foil potato as well. However, I only give it 3 stars because the woman from the kitchen, the boss suspects, looked very unfriendly and was not exactly friendly to her employees. (We were served really well, I have to say. The young woman was super friendly and personable) Maybe something should be worked on. See you soon:)

Great atmosphere and fantastic food

Rustic and cozy restaurant in a bastion of the fortress. The grilled dishes are delicious and the salad was tasty. Unfortunately, the tomato soup (for 5.50 €) was a letdown. The preservatives were clearly out to taste, probably from the bag, which explains why rice was included. The accompanying passed tomato did not do that better. Too bad, totally unnecessary. At the temperatures, a homemade gazpacho would also be a better option. The female staff was friendly and attentive, the only touched tomato soup is noticed, it was offered compensation. The male service seemed very unmotivated. Who does not want soup is right here, the grilled meat is really recommendable.

Super quaint pub, very colorful decorated with things everyone wanted to get rid of. Not very many places, nice staff, rustic card. Grilled specialties hanging in the corner restaurant, great idea. Prices in the upper area. I had 2 pieces Merguez with side salad (well) for 12,50 €! Then fried potatoes (top) and onions, everything still on top .... ? My companions had the fillet and roast beef skewer, all on the whole of good quality and tasty. Bitburger on tap, gladly again ??

Very pleasant restaurant and top quality. This is no joke: I have never eaten such a wonderfully spiced meat skewer in Germany. Otherwise, the quality is excellent, crispy, thin fries, fresh salad. The cheese soup hot and flavorful. The prices are absolutely ok for the offered quality. Highly Recommended!

For visitors from outside and tourists, this restaurant is a must and a highlight of Saarlouis. Highly recommended are the meat dishes from the grill. Here you can watch how it is prepared. The service staff are all friendly and attentive.
